Biography
Niam Itani is a Lebanese American filmmaker currently based in Istanbul. Itani's short film, “Super.Full.” was screened at the Venice Film Festival in 2012. “Twice Upon a Time”, a feature documentary she produced & directed. She won Best Documentary Award at the Lebanese Film Festival and premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2016. Itani currently works as a documentary commissioning and acquisitions producer at TRT World. She also produces and directs independent films under the banner of her Lebanese company, placeless films. Itani has an MFA in Screenwriting from Hollins University in Virginia (USA) and a BA in Communication Arts from the Lebanese American University in Beirut.
